We like this or that worship song. We go church shopping to find the right fit for us. We serve using our gifts, our lane, our sweet spot. We help people out because we love them (that’s good) but it also makes us feel good to help.
Of course you matter and serving in your sweet spot is a great idea! We talk about that all the time, but the big picture is really this …..
It’s all about Jesus.
Worship is for Him (not us). Church is the gathered people of God coming to worship (not to have a good time or be inspired – though these are great side benefits).
We serve because He wants us to. We give because He is worthy.
Can I encourage you to spend time today, realigning how you think about life, family, church, work, money and a bunch of other stuff with this central thought ……. It’s all about the King!
