Quiet Time

Quiet time or Devotions are terms we use to talk about time that we spend communicating/communing with God in prayer and scripture.

David strengthened himself in the Lord – 1 Samuel 30:6

A quiet time is not always quiet and can look very different from person to person.

The must haves
Prayer – humbly approach the King with boldness, in faith through Grace. Expect that He hears you and you will hear Him.

Scripture – read some scripture. This is guaranteed to be the word of God. Pray before you read. 2 Tim 3:16

John 5:39-40

Daily, perhaps twice a day, but at least regularly

First person. Don’t only receive regurgitated meals. Who do you say I am – Mat 16
